$115,000 in grant funds available now through Blue Sky Habitat Fund
January 18, 2016
Approximately $115,000 in grant funds are available through Pacific Power’s Blue Sky Habitat Fund. The Blue Sky Habitat Fund option provides residential and small business customers the choice to not only purchase and support renewable energy but also help restore and preserve habitats for native fish, including salmon, in Oregon through an automatic $2.50 monthly donation.
Grant awards are typically $20,000-$40,000. Funding can be applied to project design, engineering, permitting, supplies and materials, implementation, monitoring and outreach. Projects must be in or near a Pacific Power service area and strong preference will be given to projects that provide direct and immediate improvements to salmon and/or steelhead habitat, and provide at least a 1:1 match. Proposals are due March 4, 2016. Award notification will be made June 15, 2016.
