Katie McDonald
Senior Director of Finance

As the Sr. Director of Finance, Katie McDonald, CPA is responsible for The Freshwater Trust’s financial stewardship. She manages activities to keep the organization in a strong financial standing, provides strategic and financial guidance to ensure financial commitments are met, and establishes policies and procedures needed for sound financial management and control of the organization.

Katie has nearly 20 years of experience in accounting and business management. She started with TFT as the Financial Controller. Prior to joining our team, she owned her own accounting company, worked as an auditor and tax preparer for a national accounting firm, and was the financial controller for multiple small businesses. Katie holds a Certified Public Accountant license from the State of Oregon and gained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Accounting from Eastern Oregon University. When not at work, she enjoys hiking, getting out on the river, and spending time with her family.
