Max Mutter
Conservation Project Manager
Max brings a diverse background in conservation and ecology to The Freshwater Trust. He cut his teeth conducting fieldwork for a number of non-profit, governmental, and private conservation organizations. Most recently, he worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service penning internal policy and inventory and monitoring documents. He holds a master’s degree in biodiversity, conservation, and management from Oxford University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Colby College. As Program Support Analyst/Technical Writer, he facilitates the creation of the documentation required for TFT’s meaningful work. When not behind a keyboard, Max can be found spending as much time in the mountains as possible, birdwatching, or back east at his family’s tree farm making maple syrup.
