Data-Driven Restoration
What is The Freshwater Trust doing here?
Before The Freshwater Trust (TFT) began projects in the upper Willamette basin, our work started with analytics and data analysis using our patented StreamBank® Toolkit.
TFT used our technology to help partners and clients identify conservation goals, which in the upper Willamette often focus on improving water quality and streamside forests. By examining the region, gathering data points, and running models through our analytic toolkit, TFT identified and prioritized regional project sites to deliver the most significant environmental benefits in reaching key goals.
Why is this important?
TFT is about outcomes-focused conservation, which starts with running the data and making analytical reports. Knowing partner and client goals in the region allows TFT to create strategic programs that align with delivering the desired environmental benefits. Our data-driven methods empower us to better use funding and target efforts to do the most good for the least cost.
