Infographic: Uplift in the Rogue

When we plant trees next to a stream, we not only count the number of trees, but we also model the shade as they grow. This is calculated as kilocalories per day of solar load avoided.
Since 2012, TFT has planted nearly 80,000 trees and shrubs on 18 properties in the Rogue River basin. In 2017, two new projects were installed as part of this program on the mainstem of the Rogue, offsetting another 90 million kilocalories of solar load a day. These results are displayed below:
